Wasn't sure just where on the site to post this...this looks to be as good a spot as any...lol
Have heard of useing filter-aid for those with press filtersa...i'm now also hearing ofothers using it too.
Do you use a filter-aid?..what type of filter, flat or cone, and how has it helped?

How's things going with you?
As you know we use flat filters.
We also use filter aide.
I don't know if we can filter any more syrup with it, but it sure makes a nice looking syrup, especially if you put it into glass!!
There is nothing floating in it.
I'll have to check later this summer to see if there is any sediment in the glass we did up.
Just two bits!

Go to the bottling section page 2 and read the filter aide post. I use it with flat filters and it works great.

i used it this year worked great i used it in my cone filter which i wasnt as happy as with my flat filter but both made nic sparkly syrup

my syrup was always cloudy so in with the aid and presto no more junk. i use a cone filter also, and i dont think the filter lasts any longer either

but i do think it does with the flat ..
