flat filter or cone filter

I am considering which filter gravity filter system to use. I have a chance to buy a flat filter tank with a 28 inch by 28 inch rack that will hold an orlon filter or a vertical tank that will hold a typical orlon cone filter.

Any advice? Will one be better and/or faster?

The flat filter will give you more surface area. I use both.

I used the cone this year and did not like how it left a lot of syrup in the cone. I am looking at a caner filter for next year. The flat filters that i have seen look to not have as much product left in them. Other than that the syrup was crystal clear.
