Anyone had any experience's to share on leasing sugarbush's for and getting a property tax reduction due to rental being done to a "farmer" for "agricultural" purposes. I talked to the local assesor and was told it was so. Just wondering about the practical side of things.
Thanks

we are in the same process and the one thing we are thinking is they sell me the sap even though its all my equipment ... this way they get the credit fot the sale i think we found you need to make like 10000 sales for the tax break but we are still looking into it

You need $10,000 in gross sales/value for 10 acres in production for two years before you can apply for the ag assesment.
