What exactly do you mean? Are you refering to making syrup in the flue pan?
Or are you trying to drain it. Most flue pans whether or not it is raised or drop have a valve near the base stack. If for some reason you don't then I'd say your best bet would be to siphon it out or use a small pump

If you're referring to concentrated sap in the flue pan, and you're getting ready to clean up, but hate to dump it, try pushing it through with water. As you're boiling, a lot of sugars will go into the front pan, and get drawn as syrup.

That's how we boil our evaporator through at the end of the season.

If you've wondering how to get out the remnants when you're done washing it up - we put a piece of mainline tubing on the end of the hose for our wet/dry shop vac and suck it out.

We drain the last sap out of the flue pan close the transfer valve or the stopper between the flue pan and the syrup pans fill the flue pan up with water and cook the the last batch down. This way you can cook and clean your pan at the same time. Add sap with buckets to the syrup pans as you cook the last run of the season. This is when we make the dark stuff just keep cookin and keep adding. This is also the time you can make carmel if your not thinking. Things come fast and furious and you have to ready to eather shut things down fast or be there with the cold sap bucket.
