Well, it still isn't as warm as it should be but tapping has begun. Two guys I know have tapped, one with 150 out and the other with about 170. I did 25 taps today after fixing a dead battery in my pickup and fooling around getting my tapper running. I plan to do another 75 tomorrow and 60 more over the weekend.
I've heard reports that some taps are producing 1/2 gallon per day, so it has begun. Let's hope it warms a bit more soon. How's it going in Eden Prairie and Minnetrista?

Yesterday was a good run for about half the trees, with over a gallon per tap. Others haven't let loose yet. We had 70 in for the day, then Dave (RileySugerbushSouth) added 25 or so.

Four inches of wet snow on the ground in Eden Prairie this morning and more on the way.
