Depending on the cost I was thinking of either having a 2x4 flue pan made at a local fab shop or buying a used one. Does anyone know of a pan that has both dropped and raised flues? I was thinking that it may cost more, but I would think it would significantly increase your boil off rate and would pay for itself in short order.

I beleive Leader makes a pan like your talking about.
It is called something like "The Max". They say it will increase the evap rate by 45%.
They have a large ad on the back of Maple News.

Thanks for the info. Do know of anyone that has real world results?

TheMapleKing who is a NY member on here went to a set this year and he gained 40% without an Intens-o-fire or an Inferno arch. He does have a woodsaver package on his Algier arch, but he is not completely airtight and he is still just getting used to them.

I talked to Brian ?? can't remember last name last year in VT and he was getting 300+ gph out of a 3x12 with a steamaway. This was one of the units Leader was field testing before they released them for sale.
