There is a grease fitting on my pump on my filter press. Should I use a food grade grease in this fitting? Thank You

yes but one pump of grease goes a long way and you can do as much damage to the seals by over greasing . kinda like ball joints or tie rod ends on a car just my two cents...

I agree with John Burton, one pump of food grade grease goes a long way.
The bigges problem I have seen with many sugar makers is lack of maintenance with there pumps.
After each season (thats when I do it) or at least before each season. You need to take the oberdorfer pump apart clean, inspect and reassemble for next usage. Making sure it is wearing properly and grease properly. This increases the life of your pump dramatically.
Last year I ran into many when it came time to use there pump it just wouldnt work. (lack of taking care of there equipment)
Works for me! (proper maintenance)
