Hello,

We are just getting ready for our first boil of '08, and a friend of mine approached us regarding actually "buying" some of our syrup for Christmas gifts for '08.

In the past two seasons we simply utilized pint jars, and dolled them up a bit with "stuff" as much was given away.

IF,..........we would like to try to "bottle" up a gallon or so, in samll bottles, is it worth the trouble?

Where, what, how, etc?

Thanks!
Pete

Pete, I know a guy who makes about 30 gals a year. He bottles it up in the small fancy syrup bottles and averages close to $100 a gallon!!! You can also put it in small plastic syrup jugs.........

I suppose I should have included that I'm familiar with putting things into a canning jar,............and how to produce a good seal.

How is this done with bottles and plastic lids?

Thanks!
Pete

the caps have a heat activated seal in them.just lay them on the side for a minute...like said bottle at 180 degrees.
