Tapping in Cent. VT

We put in about 400 on last thursday, and about another 200 in on friday. Still have about 100 more to do, Ran like hell when we tapped.

We still haven't finished tapping. We got a good enough run the end of last week and weekend that we collected, untill we broke the drawbar off the tractor (second one this season), and we tried boiling on monday. Worked really well untill a stream of partially boiled sap came running out from beneth the flue pan. We pulled that out of the woods and brought it down to Deserios in Barre, hopefully they will have it done today. Looks like it might warm up enough today for the ice to melt and maybe floe a little bit. I was in the woods yesterday and everything was frozen up pretty good.

Got the new pan in from leader, and boiled off what we had in the sap tank. 500 gals of sap made a grand total of about 5 gals of sugar, but i figure we got close to a hundred in the pans this week. looks like it should warm up for the middle of the week hopefully we'll get some nice runs.
