We just got back from a visit in NW Indiana. They don't have any snow, and we still have a long way to go to see any dirt.

The weather dewds, who are NEVER wrong are predicting that we'll have some "sap" weather this week.

We are just west of Plymouth, which is an hour north of Milwaukee.

Most if not all of our trees are on a steep hill, Hoping that the snow is still soft enough to punch through to get a grip.........as I'm not gettting younger.

Any others?

Pete

Tapped Saturday as have to be at work this week. 8 miles north of Green Bay, Suamico. 12 out of 64 started to drip but quickly froze, on trees getting direct sun. A good number of those sugaring went in around here.

Here in the grove we're hoping for a long weekend prior to to St. Patty's.

Good luck.

We tapped, see post above, Monday afternoon.

We only have a few taps out, and gathered yesterday, as we needed to do some "pail maintenance". We only got about a 2-3 cups per pail.

That was in the ones that were still attached to the trees!

We're in a strip of woods purty well exposed to the winds,..............that seem to accompany the warmer weather.

Windy and cooler today. The weather guys say we'll hit 40*+ almost every day this week.

Our trees seem to NOT like the wind though.

When we hit the 40+ gal mark, the old tin box will be fired up!

Windy in Wisconsin,
Pete
