I have a 3x8 wood with a blower the stack size is 12'' the front damper seems to make no differnce open or closed. its seems like there is alot of heat on my back pan. also my front pan boils from the rear forward. should i try a pipe damper???

None of my rigs have ever had dampers. You want more heat, not to slow it down.
