I have a question as to the word "tap". I have 10 trees with 22 taps total and consider this to be 22 taps. As I see it,I am call it correctly or not? I have a chanc to tap about 15-20 more trees with a min. of 2 taps per tree and am trying to decide as to what size evaporator and pan I need to build or buy. So am I calling it correctly as I have been doing or not. Any help would be appreciated. The reason for this is for me to understand the proper terminology and correctly size me equipment for next year.

"Taps" is the number of holes you drill. You may have 24 taps in 24 - 12" trees or a total of 24 taps in 8 large trees.
