is there a minimum flue pan size?

i am planning to build a bit bigger evaporator next year and was thinking of making a flue pan/syrup pan type setup, but small, like 20 by 40 to 45 inches long. is there any reason not to use a flue pan on a small setup, i notice that none of the commercialy made ones have a flue pan till the bigger sizes

Here is a shot of my pan. As you can see its a 2X4 with about a 30" raised flue section in the rear.

i have a leader vermonter 2x4 evaporator and it has flues on it. it is one pan devided up several way with a flat front and flues in the rear.

No, there's no minimium size flue pan. It does not matter how small or large a pan is, you want as much heating surface area in that pan as you can get. More surface area mean's more evaporation.
