the guys back home report decent runs on Thursday and Friday...about 150 gal. on thursday and 200 on Friday. they have only about 225+/- taps in, but will put the rest in later this week.
about 8-9 gallons of lightish stuff in the canner now...expecting a big dump of rain tonight so will probably be a little steamy in the sugarhouse...
vacuum running reasonibly well, 18-21" hg, but that particular bush is slow to let go...so only 75 gal from 130+/- taps...hoping for more..

got a note from Mark and Dave running the show back home...
tapped additional 90 taps last friday (March 14th) have around 300 total this year.
they have made 35-40 gals of light so far. about 10+/- gal ahead of this date last year. love the new wood shed addition
burned some syrup the other night, but syrup pan survived...it needed to be cleaned anyway-
buckets running well, main sugarbush (100+ taps) seems slow getting going despite 22" of hg.
seem to be averaging around 1 to 1.25 gal per tap average- so SOMESAP not any BIGSAP days yet...
best of luck...

Guys just pulled all taps, tanks, totes and pump. Last boil was Friday night. We ended a week earlier this year than last.
Better season in terms of totals than last year- 105 gallons for a .31 gal per tap ratio. More than 50 gals were light, 20+ medium, and a quick drop through dark and B. Fortunately didn't get any of the off-flavored syrup like we did last year...
Burned 5+ cords of wood. Got to get on Parkers list for 7 cords for next year.
Looking to do some re-conditioning of buckets this summer when I get back- probably add 25-30 of those for next year, then add another 30-50 in the sugar bush with another sap ladder.
Good luck to all those still at it...
