Sun and Cloudes

The other day when I was pumping out one of my totes I was looking at my lines and the sap was running real good , the bubbles where running real fast when the sun was out .The bubbles slowed down to about half as fast when the sun went behind the clouds. When the sun came back out the bubbles speeded up again.I love making maple syrup ,you can see and learn something new every day. Has anybody else seen this before?

tyrod, how long are your lines? I take it if you are running to totes that they are short. For me If I see fast running sap in my lines it means that I have an air leak that needs fixing. On shorter runs to a tote it may just mean that the tree is getting warmer in the top and drawning more sap causing it to flow out faster. But I would be looking for air leaks.

Maple Hound I have 9 totes, 8 taps up to 21 taps. I will check it out.This is the only line that has all theas bubbles. Thank you
