Anybody know of any sugarhouse/sugarbush wecams? I am 1/2 drive away from my taps and I wish I could check on the buckets myself, but I can't. I used to watch the cameras at http://www.ohiomaple.com, but they're not there anymore. I also used to watch the one at the Proctor Maple Research Center at http://www.uvm.edu/~pmrc/PMRCCAM.html but the camera is not on the evaporator.

My wife thinks I'm weird that I want to watch sap run or an evaporator running. I guess it's like watching paint dry.

You're right, it is still there but it is "... closed until the 2007 sugaring season."

I guess I hacn't seen that is said the 2007 season. Sorry I do hope though that it is a mistake and that they get it up and running soon. Although I think it made those running the evaporator a little uneasy knowing other where watching. Once ai check it out and they had little army men standing in front of it and a box behind that so you couldn't see anything.

This page at Proctor is really cool. You can see temperature, taphole pressure, and sap flow vs time... all in real-time. It says it's closed, but the data, afaict, is live.
