Pete Seeger

I was working in the shop tonight, with the TV on PBS for background noise. There was a special on Pete Seeger, and I happened to look up at one point and see he was tapping in a plastic spile. The following clips, running behind commentary on him by Arlo Guthrie, and Bruce Springsteen and others, was of Pete gathering from buckets on drops, and boiling on a big flat pan.

It's nice to see sugaring in the media other than the annual 15 second spot on the news or the feature in the papers variety section. Just thought I'd mention it.

"Maple Syrup Time" is a song on Pete Seeger's "If I Had A Song, The Song's Of Pete Seeger- Vol. 2"

It's a catchy song. Search the internet for the CD. I did and picked up a copy for a lot less than the local music store's are getting for CD's.
