First gallon in the tank

As always we started tapping just because we thought it was the right thing to do. By the time we finished with about 125 taps we finally realized it was running enough that we had better stop and and get everything else set up!

Not we have about fifty gallons on sap and the evaporator hasn't been touched since last season. Oh well... I wouldn't want it to be too easy. Hopefully that tank full will give me the first gallon of syrup.

Way to go... your ahead of me.. I have the sugarhouse almost ready but still need to fix a few lines and rinse the buckets before I tap this Fri-Sat

Been holding back on myself too !! Got myself too busy with my boys and scouting. I should have gotten stuff done much earlier(dont we all say that) I'm on track though, I hope to get a boil this weekend.
