I came across this site and have purchased a few things from him. Very nice guy, and loves maple syrup!

I have delt with them a few times before and they are very good. I am always amazed at how fast I get my order from them. I have had them call me just to make sure that what I was ordering was what I wanted. Nice company to work with.

I just took a look. Prices are reasonable.
How are they with shipping $$ ??

They were pretty reasonable, but if my memory serves me correctly, I don't think they quote you the shipping charges in advance. Kind of made me a little uneasy, but it turned out fine.

Yes, that is a bit of a leap, wondering if you would see a $25 shipping/handling charge on a $50 order. They say they don't do that because they don't "over estimate" shipping for each order, they wait till they know the exact weight, and bill you want it really costs. I spent two hours Sunday configuring and then ordering some fittings to minimize the brass on my pre-heater, and for my filtering system. Then I woke up this moring and realized I had forgotten a couple of things, and called him at 8:00 AM NY time, and he added them. A very easy guy to work with.

I've also found this place, that offers the same valves as others but around half the price. You also get to choose if you want locking handles or not.

It looks like there is now a 1/2" low lead brass option, but I've already upgraded all my valves this year.

Good prices. What is the difference between 304 stainless and 316 stainless? Which would be better for maple applications, or doesn't it matter?

All my fittings are 304. 316 is a little bit better grade. I believe in 316 they add another element to the mix to help it pit less. But 316 starts out as 304.

Google "stainless steel pipe fittings" and you will find several sources. Then compare prices, some are much better than others.

Brandon,
Just the first page seems to be gone. Click on other items and they pop right up.
D & G has the best prices I have found on stainless ball valves if you have one local.

I have been getting my SS pipe nipples, valves and fittings from my local plumbing supply house. Originally they had to order from another branch that stocked it. After I had gotten it a few times they started to stock 1/2"-3/4" and 1" in moderate quantities. They now try to keep up to about 6-12 pcs. of each in stock and if they don't have an iten, they TF it in from their main SS stocking store. The prices seem very reasonable (but not cheap). I buy from Oneida Plumbing Supply 315-364-5600, a division of Howland Pump. They have 5 or 6 outlets in central and northern NY, from Oneida, Utica, Rome, Watertown and Ogdensberg. I'm not aware of others. They do ship daily and I think they only charge actual UPS or USPS costs. That part you'd need to ask. The Ogdensberg store stocks larger sizes too. Tell them that Dave Klish, Dave's Sugarhouse referred you. They will likely stock even more as the continued sales keep expanding.
