I had the chance to clean my 2 pans yesterday while on my 24 hour tour at the firestation. I used a 20:1 water to bleach solution to clean the inside with a little elbow grease, then rinsed with copuious amount of hot water. I wanted to get the outsides clean since they had many years of black soot on them and i needed to clean some spots for repairs. I purchased cheap spray on oven and grill cleaner, and i was amazed at how well it worked! Just letting it sit then spraying it with the hose took off most of it, but wiping with a wet rag gave it a nice shine. This is the best my pan has ever looked since i have owned it. I was even able to shine up the old GH Grimm metal plate on the front to almost new again. When i was finsihed, I again washed the entire pan with lots of water.
Just an idea for anyone else, it worked great for me
