Hello,

Looking to get my first RO for next season. 1500 taps currently, possibility for 500 more just not there yet. Time/money. Trying to get hydro set up on the property this year but might have to be run on a generator for the first year. Have lots of storage, thats not an issue. 4x12 evaporator.

Looking at the h20 concentrator 300 and the CDL 350 and cant decide between the two. Leaning towards the H2O a little though.

Anybody have any recommendations/advice between the 2?

One thing I cant figure out on my own is, what's the difference between 1 8 inch post on the CDL and 3 4 inch posts on the concentrator? Pros and Cons of either?
Start-up water every year, can it be from a well? Where are you supposed to get it if not?

Anything would be helpful.

Thanks

8" membranes have much more surface area compared to 3-4" membranes. I would lean toward a 600 machine not a 350 machine. The 600 machine will operate at higher pressure and get higher brix concentrate faster. The 300 or 350 machines are limited to much lower pressures. Good luck

I agree, look for a 600 RO if you have 1000 taps or more. You might find at 2000 taps that you want to add a second post so I would look for an expandable 600 RO. Even if it used vs. new, they are 100% serviceable. Different animal than a 300 or 350.

The 600 is out of my price range currently. The two that I mentioned are in my price range, that's why I was considering them.

Are you looking at new or used? Lot of people upgrading this time of the year and some good used machines on the market.

What is your price range? I believe a new 350 RO is around $9,000? You can find a used single post 600 RO expandable for $7500-$8500. There are several on Marketplace right now, I just did a quick search and saw 2 CDL 600's and a D&G 600. Send a used one to CDL in St. Albans and have them go completely through it and you'll still be at the same price as a new 350 GPH. Your call, but at 2000 taps, you will want more than that 350 or a 300.
