flu brush.

I have a flu brush that I used for my drop flu evaporator. Now I have a raised flu pan and this brush will not reach to the top of the flues at the front of the pan shaped like a triangle. Bascoms catalogue has a brush shaped like a letter" D" . will this brush work better for the soot side of the pan? -SS
