I made so much yesturday that I am about out of space. Where and how can I store some short term until I get more platic jugs?
Chris
Your celler, your garage. Any place cool. I'm looking for a second hand frig for my garage to put mine in. I've always used glass for my own syrup. My Dad has used every kind of juice container /milk container you could think off. He wash's them several times before he uses them and never had a off taste.
Hope this helps.

Keep some in your filtering tank! It will be ok till your ready to bottle it!

I keep it in glass half-gallon canning jars until I am ready to bottle it up into smaller containers.

I have found 5 gallon buckets work great because you can put the syrup in fairly hot and seal the lids tight and as the syrup cools, the molecules decrease in size and it vaccum seals the lids even tighter!
Finished or nearly finished syrup will keep for a long time if kept cool and sealed and will keep quite a while at room temp if stored under the same conditions! :D
