The short answer is not enough. However, I don't know the exact figure for this year. Good luck this season.

If Canadian Syrup is carrying a 25% tariff, I'd think the big guys should be doing better, not worse.

Bulk prices aren’t typically set until the season is over or nearly so. Anything before that is just a Magic-8 Ball roll.

Interesting development: In light of the trade wars wholesalers have filled their U.S. warehouses with Canadian syrup ahead of any tariff. A rational thing to do. This may cause downward pressure on the price they are willing to pay going forward.

Well, we've made it to April. Anyone have prices to report?

JoeJ's prices make sense given current exchange rates and what we are getting for bulk in $Cdn (ignoring any impacts of tariffs).

They are all a little different but here is some info. Hope it helps.

Butternut has a lot of variables but here are the basic prices per pound.
If you make over 35,000 pounds and deliver it to them its $2.50 for (GD,AR,DB), $2.25(VD), $1.75 (process), $0.62 (for the bad stuff). If you make less then 35,000 pounds cut 10 cents per lb off those prices, if you want them to pick it up cut another 2 cents/lb off those prices. They also pay 15 cents/lb more for organic syrup plus 3 cents/lb if you own your barrels and they have finance deals which will make you more money if you delay your payment.

Bascoms is more straight forward.
$2.45(GD), $2.40(AR), $2.35(DR), $2.10(VD) $1.40(Process grade), and $0.75 (for the bad stuff). They also pay 15 cents/lb more for organic syrup
