What are you using for the suction line on your RO? I'm currently using the EZ-Flo brand of reinforced PVC tubing (available from Lowe's) but the thing is stiff and unwieldy. Looking to see if anyone has an alternative. I know I don't want hose that can collapse, so it has to be strong, but I'd like something a bit more flexible. Or is there a way to make my current hose more flexible?

Dan,

I am not familiar with your machine, so I don't know what size hose you are using, but I would check out a local dairy supply store. My local one has different sizes of milk hose that are pretty flexible.
Your current hose may get more flexible with use, but it still will be stiffer than the dairy hose. That's just the nature of it.

Get the 1” green corrugated from bascoms. Some call it Tiger flex. I’ve scoured high and low for a cheaper alternative but that stuff he has is amazing. Run that with a couple banjo camlock fittings from Zoro tools and you’ll be set for life.

If you are talking for the feed hose the green ribbed (tiger flex type) works great. I use it with banjo fittings to swap between the sap/concentrate tank and the permeate tank.

If you are talking between the machine and the unit you would be looking for milk house tubing which is clear and thick.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went with the green corrugated hose from Bascom. I've got a camlock fitting for it, too.

We have 55 gallon barrels on our sap wagon and we run the RO intake hose from the barrels. I think the new hose will work out quite nicely.
