Doing the initial wash on my new CDL 2 post 240 GPH Hobby RO.
Started with 104 degree wash water and it’s been running for 3 hours now with temp only at 106.

Manual says to go to 109 degrees and it will shut down automatically.
When I started up the temp went to 84 degrees and I’m assuming that’s because there was water in the posts. Should I have drained them out or run 104 degrees through the system before starting the wash?

Sure seems like a long time for a wash. Am I doing something wrong here?
Thinking I’m asking a lot to get water from 84 to 110 degrees and should have warmed everything up first.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Are you in a heated room? We ran ours in an unheated area and used a light bulb to aid in reducing freeze issues. The unit worked well. To get the temperature up for cleaning we would have to re-heat the solution otherwise it would never hit the temp and shut off. We made sure it ran near the max for 30 miutes or so to ensure the hi-temp had a chance to work. It would take about 15 minutes to get the solution to the temp before running it for 30 minutes then I would raise it until it shut off.

John,

You're welcome. Here is a picture of our setup when were using it. The room is not heated. I think the 250 Hobby RO is a great investment and will cut your time down boiling a lot.
