Hello. I'm new here. My name is Matthew. I work at a boarding school, a high school in the Berkshires. I've been doing various things to get the kids outside over the years and one of those things I started this year is sugaring. We have a nice little sugar bush so we tapped ten trees.
I boil in a 24x24 flat pan with a propane burner under it. So far we've made about 2 1/2 gallons. I ran into a problem. I've been trying to fugure out a way to bottle and came up with a double boiler. Fill the bottles heat the water and Bob's your uncle. Well as you can imagine I made a lot of clear syrup cloudy. Can I reheat and run this through a filter again and be ok?
Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can. Keep the syrup under 190 after it is filtered to avoid forming any new sugar sand. And double check your density as you reheat to make sure it is still close and not too heavy.

Thank you! That's a relief.
