View Full Version : Permeate storage
I am looking for a way to store 150-200 gallons of permeate. Can I use either a Rubbermaid stock tank or a TSC galvanized stock tank both of which are not food grade?
Are you storing it for rinsing at the end of a concentration cycle or looking to store it for a long time?
Rinsing. Any remaining would be drained nightly

IBC Tote. Elevate it and you get good head pressure too.

I plan on putting it in the loft of my shack to gravity feed a small sink for washing etc. and I don't have the space for a tote.

Don't have space vertically or horizontal directions? If space is limited vertically; cut off the top to fit what you need.
Could just gang together some 55 gallon barrels so when one fills, it flows to the next and then into overflow. Connect outlets on all of them.
Quick answer given you question is either will work. I tend to side with the 55 gallon barrel idea from littletapper though.

Look into horizontal storage. Tractor supply should have them. They are a few hundred bucks, but worth it.
