How long can the lateral lines be safely? I know they should only have about 10 or so taps on each line but my trees are spread out fairly well so these lines would be pretty long.

Thanks for the help,
Kyle

I have some probably 700' or more with 40+ taps on them and they run like mad. Sure it an awesome sight watching the sap go like an olympic sprinter thru them.

I have some 5/16 lines 100 feet with 20 taps. Time will tell how this works on gravity.

Are your line vented? What are some pointers to get these results? Are your lines VERY tight?

All my taps are on gravity and I usually try to keep my lines very tight with no venting. In most places, I have pretty good slope, so this helps but it is not extremely steep.

with vacuum having less than 10-15 on a lateral is more important. So the fact you are on gravity you can go longer and more taps.
