Hi All,
Any suggestions for a cheap head tank that can handle about 100 gallons?
Thanks,
Bryan

Sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and spend the money to do it right. I used a 55 gallon barrel for years, but always needed bigger. I finally bit the bullet and bought a tank and now wish I had several years ago. At 100 gallons I think you will have a hard time finding anything safe, appropriate and cheap. Look for used tanks would be your cheapest way to go. I got lucky and found one that had never been used. A farmer bought it to haul horse water but never used it and just wanted to recover some cash. As you already know be sure what was hauled in them.

Thansk for the info. I'm willing to buy new, but not sure where to start.
If you were doing it again, and spending my money, where would you spend it and what would you buy?
I'm looking for near 100 gallons.
Thanks
Bryan

Stainless round bottom tanks are ideal (easy to drain and clean). They are pretty pricey new ($700 - $800) at Bascoms for ~100 gallon tanks.

there are lots of poly tanks around. i've been using them for several years, easy to clean, very strong. i have several from 35 to 100 gal made by norwesco. i do not think they have a dealer in conn. but they have a dealer in portsmouth n.h.(no tax).
