Bottling with synthetic corks

I have some top quality 12 oz bottles that take a very firm synthetic T type cork that fits very tight. Can I bottle my syrup in these? You know, heat up and bottle hot like you would with a normal screw top bottle?

Yes but you should wax the tops. this seals them to keep air out plus keeps the top from coming out if you ship it or happed to tip it over.

Tried it. Had 50% 0f the bottles mold on top. After dipping in wax a bubble would break thru the wax seal.
