Hey Everyone,
I've always just used vinegar and warm water to clean my evaporator pan but it seems people also use a pressure washer. I'm wondering what pressure psi do you need to remove niter? Thanks, Ted
Depends on how thick it is. We run a 200PSI pressure washer with the highest-pressure nozzle it came with and still need to use acid and elbow grease.
Pressure washer will NOT take stuck on niter off. You need an acid to remove it. Pressure washer will remove other stuck on junk but true niter bonds so well that you need an acid to dissolve it.

Well, that's unfortunate. Check me out, looking for an easier way. Thanks guys, Ted
Easiest way I found is a vinegar and permeate combination. Heat it up with a few scraps of wood.......scrub...and the best step of all is time to soak. If you have the luxury (temperature depending) of letting this concoction soak overnight; you'll find that just about all the nasties in that pan will wipe clean with little effort in the morning.
