So, I have a rough idea of what I should be charging in my area for Syrup...
How do you figure out the confections/sugar in non syrup form? Like how do you decide, say on granulated sugar, I assume you do it by the pound (in US) correct? 1 Quart makes roughly 2 lbs I believe I saw. If it is say, $25 that equates to about $12-13 a point if my math is close.
So, you charge $15 a pound? These numbers are all relatively arbitrary, I am just trying to figure out HOW people price non syrup. Is it the same with candy itself? Would you do 4 OZ packages, or just whatever mix you come up with, but break it down by pound for pricing?

I think a gallon of syrup weights 11.3lbs and is approximately 67% sugar so you get about 7.5lbs of sugar/gallon which sounds about right from when I used to make it in bulk. I would take your price per gallon and divide that by 7.5 for your price per pound. I sell my gallons for $50 at farmers markets and my sugar for $10/lb. Sounds like your prices are little higher so maybe adjust accordingly. Maybe I need to adjust mine, particularly with all the inflation.
In terms of containers, I've sold them in glass ball jars in bulk and in plastic shakers. I think those hold 6 or 8oz. Sprinkle a little sugar around your table to put that smell of maple in the air. :D

Do a little research and see what the going rate is. I think you will find either side of about $1/ounce is pretty normal. We sell 10 oz. of sugar in pint jars or 20 oz. in quart jars (filled to the brim) and get $1/ounce for them. We don't sell a lot though, just at the fairs and some regulars who buy them.

I think your best course of action is to research locals in your area. It varies widely throughout the US.
In Maine I sell my sugar for $8 per 1/2# and $15 per # in food grade resealable window bags. The 1/2# seem to sell the best for us.

I sell $15lbs. I do not know how you are making your sugar but for me, it's a lot of work. no break for quantity. three or four half-gallon batches boiling at the same time. kitchen aid mixer and sifting. it takes the whole kitchen! also takes added time and energy to make. charge what the market can bear.

I wholesale VT maple sugar in sealed 8oz bags for $8/bag and they are marked up to 11.99 in stores. At the fairs and markets I sell them for $10/bag.

I don’t make a lot of value added products but what I don’t give away to family I charge $1.00/oz. Thinking of going to $1.25/oz.
