I have a propane setup with this "grill" and a silver creek pan that fits it almost exactly.

What I would like to do, is insulate around the pan/grill.
Now I know I obviously do not want to go down to the floor I was thinking about insulating from about 1" above the bottom of the pan, to about 6-12" below the 3 burners giving at least 16-20" of air flow below that for the burners to get oxygen.
Would this work to help direct more heat to the pan? I am just trying to make the propane as efficient as possible. I know it is overall inefficient price-wise, but lifestyle-wise, I don't really have a better option.
