Quick question for you guys. Roughly what would be the maximum number of taps for a 3/4" wet line with a 1" dry line above it?

From most of what I have read on this forum I would say no more than 200 taps. More than that on a heavy flow day may overload the line. Question though, if you are running a 1" dry line why not just run a 1" wet line.

It depends on the slope of the mainline. For 3/4" mainline, Cornell's Maple tubing and vacuum notebook says:

<5% slope = 400 taps
5-10% slope = 300-500 taps
>10% slope = 300-600

So, around 400 is a good average number if you don't know your slopes.

With that said, our mainline are all 1”, with 130-250 taps on them. Minimal cost to over size and not have to worry about high flow day issues on the 230 tap line. We did use some 3/4” line on a branch from the 1” to pick up around 60 taps on a side hill.
