Don't know if this has any value to anyone else, but I make tubing protectors from short pieces of 5/16" and 3/16" tubing by cutting the pieces to 2" +/- then heat the ends with a heat gun and smash it with some linesmans pliers. The 5/16" will fit over the 3/16" lines and the 3/16" will fit snug in the 5/16" lines. This keeps debri and such out of the tubing when installing. 22681
