On 10/28 I had another surgery. After my 2 surgeries in March and April, I developed a major hernia (my intestines seemed to fall out the bottom. Repair so far feels and looks like a success. Far less pain than the first 2. I seem to be healing well. Soon I'll start going to Hyperbaric wound care to try to get the best healing.
I don't heal like I did in my 20's and 30's. It seems I've become borderline diabetic, but it's just enough to slow my healing.
For the first time ever at my local hospital I got horrible service. The Nurses were ok, but far too over worked and thus stressed.

Great to hear that you are doing better Dave. You have been in my prayers every night. December 6th they are going to implant the stimulator in my back. Hopefully it will ease some of the pain and I will be able to slowly get off the drugs.

Minor set back, this past Tuesday my surgery site felt different. A Dr visit ended with a Cat scan and bloodwork. When those reults were in, I was admitted and given a IV antibiotic. By Wednesday it felt good and a new bloodwork confirmed the infection was indeed gone. I was sent home by noon on Wednesday.
Since then I've done better each day, but I do seem to tire quickly, lots of naps.
At this point I feel I've rounded the corner and can see the finishline.

Yup.You just have to rest a lot more, because it takes longer to heal. Enjoy those naps. I usually get at least one per day. Ha Ha Ha.

I'm at 3-4/day. Before this I rarely took even one. By the way, I also get a good night's sleep.

I get a good night's sleep to Dave. it's okay. I have learned to just go with the flow and enjoy doing what I can every day and the rest isn't important. It has also helped to have a friend whom I can talk to about anything, we are more like brothers.
