I just saw another option for those looking for a lower priced diaphragm pump that is air powered for pumping hot syrup to their filter press. This looks to have good specs, it's rated for 275F and the syrup in and out openings are 3/8". This may be available from others at a lower price, check around.
My pump works very well but apparently it is no longer available, reason unknown. Mine pumps 5.? GPM but has a max temp of 200F, this new one does 5.0GPM and up to 275F. Check it out.

Many using either a 7" or 10" (or a 7.5") filter press are happy with 5 gpm to filter syrup.
