My wife uses distilled water for her Keurig all summer long on camping trips. She is saving the bottles in the hope that we can fill them next spring as we literally throw away 1000’s of gallons of distilled water every spring. Would it need to be hot packed,or refrigerated or anything? Thanks

What is the source of distilled water? If you are calling permeate distilled water, it's not that pure, even though you can't measure any passage of sugar and other minerals, both are still in permeate in minute amounts. It will not last more than a month or 2, even if bottled at high temperatures, sorry.

Hi Dave,no it’s not permeate,it is distilled water from the steam away. How are you doing? Haven’t been on here in months to keep up with the news

Problem with collecting condensation from steam away or steam hood, is if there is any boiling over or high rolling boil, it will put a tiny amount of sugar in the water. That will cause problems storing it for longer periods of time.

What BAP said, still has a trace of sugar in it.
