Do I need to keep electric releaser warm?

If I have an external pump on an electric releaser do I still need to keep the releaser worm or just make sure the pump is drained if it freezes??

yes needs to be warm. i had one in a small 4x4x5 box, with a pilot light on a buddy heater and it keeps it 40* in there all the time. now i put a 120v outlet in there so i could have a place to charge batteries, etc, and i use a small desk heater set on low, it stays very warm in there, almost too warm but im ok with it because it will still be warm for a while if the power were to go out.
