RO noisy

Being new to the world of RO I am not sure what to expect. I rebuilt a single post 4x40 RO on a hand cart. Today was the first run with water and planned on doing a soap wash on new membrane. After fixing a couple small drips I ran it for about 10 minutes. It seemed to be making a cavatating noise with wide pressure fluctuations. Is this just air being purged from pre filter and membrane? Seemed to improve with time. Trying to work out the bugs before I need it.

You want to try to purge all air before running the RO at pressure. Do that either with no pressure until all air is out if you can, or run an axillary pump until all air is pushed out, then turn on your RO.
