Has anyone used a Vacuum Leak Finder in the woods to detect vacuum leaks? Roth Sugar Bush, a CDL dealer in Wisconsin offers a Leak Finder for finding leaks around your vacuum pump and releaser. Just wondering if the leak finder might work in the woods.

I used a CDL leak finder for several years, it performed very well for me. I could walk 10-15' away from the maple line, stop and point the leak finder at the tubing and it found the leaks. It seemed to require quiet for me to detect it, but just a 3-4 second stop and I could check 3-5 fittings, and if no leak, move on to the next test location. Another thing that impressed me was with the noise of an engine running my vacuum pump it could also find leaks in that noise, just not easy while I walked and made noise in the snow as I walked.

Thank You............Very-Very Much! I am hard of heard and find it difficult to detect leaks without feeling every line and drop.
