So I was curious who all has tapped! If you don't mind-how many you have in-what you got for sap-when you tapped, and how much you've made!

Just curious myself. We did some tapping one year early and did well, but the extra month and a half set me up to be over tired!

Thanks

Dan, we tapped Jan. 6, got 120 gallons of sap out of 40 taps. So far we have 5 gallons of maple beer (boiled 65 gallons down to make this), one pint of finished syrup, and the rest is still in the pan waiting to be finished.

Looks like it may warm up again soon... let's hope! Like I said in a previous post, I wouldn't have tapped so early except that we might be moving in March, so when we saw that week of warm weather we figured we'd better do it while we can.

We normally tap the first or second week of March. Our season will go until mid April which is plenty long for us!

Dan,

Already tapped in Central KY with 250 taps. will put in 100 additional taps this Friday, then sit back and wait. We have made 4 gallons of medium to date.
