Sap color

Hello everyone,

Brand new newbie this year, only 6 taps to start. My first run was crystal clear but today Mar 7 it is very very slightly pale yellow from one tree. Is that normal? Thanks for your help!

Could be from some rainwater dripping into your container if it looks that way on a fresh run. If the container was sitting in the sun for 2 days with sap, it could be early spoilage.

I've had that happen from rainwater coming into the bucket off the tree.
