Chasing the sweet

Just curious how low sugar content do most run down to when chasing the sweet from the membrane, I usually go too 2 percent, even though I’m leaving sugar in the membrane that will be washed down the drain on rinse cycle or a soap wash?

I get it down to 0%, but my issue is that it gets there very quickly. Too quickly? The directions for my RO say to flush for 2-4 min, but I hit 0% after about 1 minute.

I usually go to 1%.

Depends where I de-sugar. On early season runs when not boiling everyday, I run into head tank and go to about 2%. Once the season get rolling and we're boiling everyday, I de-sugar back into raw sap tank and go till nothing registers on refractometer.

I never tested it, but I flushed for 5 minutes, then started the wash cycle, as per my RO instructions.
