Evaporator sizes/configuration = GPH?

I currently have a 2.5x8 foot drop flue. I seem to get about 60-70gph. We have tons of people come for tours where we are at and it gets crowded in the shack.. The arch is in desperate need for replacing, and we are looking at replacing the whole rig. We concentrate ro from 7-15% usually depending on timing.

I'm interested in hearing what rigs/configurations may be similar or smaller in size that will boil at least 60-70 gph. Is it possible to get a 2x6 to boil that fast?

You can check out the Smoky Lake silver plate arch with either raised flue or drop flue pans. i have the 2 x 4 corsair raised flue pan set and get upwards of 50 gph when firing consistently with the blower going.

I have a smoky lake 2x6 drop flue. With air under and air over fire I get low 50s on a homemade arch. I'm sure if you added a preheater and hood on a factory arch you could get mid 60s.

Is there a reason you want to go with a smaller cooker? Personally I'd stick with 8'. I do believe most manufacturers have a pretty decent price increase to go from 2' to 2.5 or 3', so if you could be sure that a 2x8 would do it that might be an option. There are a few manufacturers that seem to list their rates well outside what other brands claim, despite being a pretty similar design. Believe what you want, but I'm skeptical myself.

There was a 2x6 in New York for sale that I think would do about 100 GPH. Gas fired, included a preheater and steam away.

Smokey lake I have 2*4ho drop flue with forced air and get 55gph all day long I’m sure a 2*6 is more than enough great units and great people to work with
