Looking forward to a new season!

I couldn’t sugar last season, so sold my evaporator. Bought a new StarCat from Smokey Lake Maple. Put it together today and it looks/feels solid. An RO Bucket is on order.

Hoping to tap Wednesday and go scrounging for wood (I’m always behind).

Cheers,
Chris

Got about 25 buckets hung before it started to rain heavily. Hope to finish tomorrow.

The sap was flowing overnight. I collected 40ish gallons of sap today.

Good to hear! The sap was flowing here over night As well. The warm night woke the trees up. Now we have this freeze up coming unfortunately...

My RO in a bucket should arrive in the next day or so. Glad to have the time to get acquainted with it and figure out the best way to set things up.

Collected about 45 gallons from last night. Planning to transfer it and run it through the RO today. Will boil tomorrow morning.

Collected about 40 gallons yesterday as things were freezing up. The tractor almost didn’t make it up the hill.

The RO works well and I’m getting the hang of the new Starcat evaporator.

Hope to finish up today and pull the taps tomorrow. I know there’s more sap to come, but I have other obligations.

Hope you’re all doing well!
