Last year was our first year of running tubing all 5/16 short runs of 6to 12 taps per line into 55gallon drums when we pulled the taps flushed and filled the lines with calcium hypochlorite and plugged the taps on the tee post and plugged the end of the line so to keep them full. My question is about half of the taps came loose are just hanging and drained out the rest are still full what should I do now to get ready?
A-- wash with calcium hypochlorite and rinse
B-- just rinse
C--drain whatever is in the line and let the first day sap run on the ground
Any help and advice is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance Dave

At a minimum, I think you would want to rinse the lines well to remove any residue in the lines. Just letting sap flow may not remove all the residue inside the lines, especially on the upper half of the lines.

I agree with the rinse method. I would likely not collect the first days run either just to be safe.
