Picked up a h2o tradition evaporator with the and I have a question about one of the floats. Specifically the transfer float between flue and syrup pan it has a taperedbottomwith a drain. On the float rod there is a tapered piece which goes into a flanged piece with a rubber o ring in it. That I'm assuming will make a seal and shut the flow down when adjusted. I have a couple of the flat round gaskets that came with it and was wondering if 1 needs a hole drilled in it and put on the float rod to make a better seal than just the o ring? The manual that came with it doesn't have anything about that, pics would be great
