Hello everyone, I have a single vertical mechanical releaser. It's a D&G releaser. I am wondering about the tubing on this device, which has accumulated some gunk inside them over the years. Should this tubing be replaced from time to time or is it OK there is a little gunk in them. It's not alot of stuff inside. Also any good maintenance recommendations? Thanks and good luck!!

I would change the lines of there's junk in them. Some good food grade lubricant oil on the moving parts is a good idea as well.

Last season i replaced the tubing and hose barbs on the cylinder of my double mechanical releaser, i just used some flexible drop 5/16 tubing, worked like a charm. Also Molykote 111 to lube the contact plates. This season i found that a mason bee had plugged one of the air lines, cleaned that out and back in production!

Mason bee did the same to my 11 year old double canister Lappierre releaser, apparently after you broke up his happy home he moved to Pendleton County!
